Holiday-themed Senior Fun Day

First Thursdays: Tech Thursdays

First Thursdays will be Tech Thursdays. Do you have a new phone or laptop? Are you receiving suspicious texts, phone calls, or emails? Do you want to learn more about reconnecting with others on social media? Understand technology and learn the warning signs of scams in a safe & friendly environment. A light snack will be provided and this event is free to attend. Led by The Jewish Family & Community Services Representative.

Boardman Park’s Lunch & Learn series is a free educational program designed for older adults looking to stay informed, engaged, and connected. Each session features guest speakers from trusted local organizations who share valuable information on topics important to seniors, including mental health, insurance, wellness, and other resources that support healthy, independent living.

This session will focus on common mental health topics, providing helpful insights and practical information in a relaxed, welcoming setting. While the program is free, space is limited.

RSVP is required. Register online or call the Boardman Park Office at 330-726-8105.

Third Thursdays: Senior Fun Days

Third Thursdays are Boardman Park’s Senior Fun Days in the Lariccia Family Community Center from 10:30am-1:00pm. The fee is $2 and includes a guest speaker, lunch, exercise, bingo. Ask for reservations as program is limited to 60 people.


Mondays: Matters of Balance

Direction Home, part of Ohio’s statewide network of Area Agencies on Aging, brings expertise in community-based health, wellness, and disease prevention services that support independent living for older adults and individuals with disabilities.

Mondays & Thursdays: Tai Ji Quan
Starting Monday April 20th

Join us for Tai Ji Quan, a gentle movement class open to participants of all ages, with a special encouragement for older adults looking to improve balance, flexibility, and overall mobility. Classes are held every Monday and Thurdays and focus on slow, controlled movements that support strength, coordination, and confidence.

This low-impact class is ideal for those with mild mobility challenges or anyone seeking a safe, supportive way to stay active. Tai Ji Quan is sponsored by Direction Home, an organization dedicated to promoting health, wellness, and independent living for older adults and people with disabilities.

No prior experience is required. All are welcome in this inclusive and supportive environment.
