Opening soon… the Lariccia Family Bocce Pavilion. This open-air pavilion will provide two (2) regulation bocce courts, which will be the first public courts in Mahoning County. Additionally, because of its unique design, a portable floor system can be placed over the Bocce Courts; thereby, providing 5,800 square feet of floor space under roof. This feature will give the Pavilion a multi-use dimension, facilitating Park District programs, special events and other Community functions.

The Pavilion is named after one of the Park’s most generous supporters - Anthony J. Lariccia and his family. Mr. Lariccia is definitely an individual who cares deeply about and supports a diversity of Community projects and organizations; thereby, enhancing the quality of life throughout our Community. Thus, to pay tribute to this community-minded individual and his family, the Board of Park Commissioners appropriately named this one-of-a-kind facility – The Lariccia Family Bocce Pavilion.

This colonial-styled facility with its lighted cupola was designed by Robert Mastriana of The 4M Company and built by Brock Builders, Inc. will definitely be a well used and appreciated addition to the Park District, and is pursuant to the Park’s mission – to provide a diversity of recreational facilities and programs.
